Volleyball Game Preview: Rice Lake Warriors vs. Waupaca Comets

The Rice Lake Warriors will face off against the Waupaca Comets on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Rice Lake comes in on three and Waupaca on 12.

Rice Lake is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over St. Croix Falls.

Mosinee typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Waupaca proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Indians 3-0.

Waupaca's got stronger as the match went on, holding Mosinee to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 25-19.

Waupaca's win bumped their record up to 26-10. As for Rice Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 24-10.

Rice Lake was able to grind out a solid win over Waupaca when the teams last played back in October of 2023, winning 3-1. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
