Softball Recap: Marion Harding Drops Highest Score of Season Against Westland

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marion Harding). They put the hurt on the Westland Cougars with a sharp 26-6 win on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Presidents, who have now won four matches in a row.

Raina Smith was incredible, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one double. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Myers, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Marion Harding always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive games.

Marion Harding's record now sits at 7-8. As for Westland, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Marion Harding wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 19-1 defeat against Clear Fork on the 22nd. As for Westland, they have also already played their next matchup, a 14-13 win against Whitehall-Yearling on the 22nd.
