Softball Game Preview: Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats vs. Alabama Christian Academy Eagles

Trinity Presbyterian is 2-8 against Alabama Christian Academy since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Wildcats will square off against the Eagles at 12:00 p.m. Trinity Presbyterian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Trinity Presbyterian came up short against Andalusia and fell 8-4.

Emma Rose Meldrum made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Evie Knight was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, Alabama Christian Academy fell victim to Saint James and their airtight pitching crew last Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Trojans.

Izzy Warrick put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double.

Alabama Christian Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-17. As for Trinity Presbyterian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Trinity Presbyterian came out on top in a nail-biter against Alabama Christian Academy when the teams last played on April 8th, sneaking past 8-7. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
