Softball Recap: Plymouth Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against South Lyon East

Plymouth Christian Academy came out on top against South Lyon East on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Eagles put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 10-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Sophie Paryaski made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Mariah Wright was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Chloe Paryaski also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Plymouth Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 14-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for South Lyon East, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-14.

Plymouth Christian Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair will be back at it again later today.
