Austintown-Fitch faced Riverside in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Falcons lost 11-3 to the Beavers. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Austintown-Fitch's loss dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Riverside, the win (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Austintown-Fitch will take on Canfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverside, they will challenge Mentor at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Beavers surely won't give up without a fight.
