Basketball Recap: Laurel Hill Comes Up Short

Laurel Hill managed to keep up with Central until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Laurel Hill Hoboes were outmatched by the Central Jaguars and fell 72-44. The Hoboes were down 55-35 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Autumn Boutwell was her usual excellent self, going 14 for 28 on her way to 33 points along with seven steals and five assists for Central. The game was Boutwell's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Harold, who posted 12 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.

Laurel Hill moved to 11-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.

Laurel Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 82-37 victory against Northview on the 17th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-36 win against Pensacola Christian Academy on the 16th.
