Game recap

WINNSBORO, La. - After taking the lead in the fourth quarter, Airline (Bossier City, La.) held on for a 15-12 victory over Franklin Parish (Winnsboro, La.) on Saturday. The difference for the Vikings was that they ran for a touchdown.

After nabbing the lead on a Marcus Bingham touchdown run, the Patriots went into halftime with a 12-9 lead. The Vikings took the lead to win the game on a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Despite scoring zero points in the third, Airline still trailed by three points going into the fourth quarter. But six points in the fourth helped AHS pull out the victory.

The defeat comes as a step back for Franklin Parish, which notched a 34-28 victory over West Feliciana in its previous outing. The win was a nice bounce back for the Bossier City school, which lost to Ruston last week, 24-10. The loss broke Franklin Parish's two-game winning streak.

Franklin Parish (2-1) will play a non-conference game against Oak Grove next week, while Airline (2-1) will take on West Monroe also in a non-conference game.
