Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 4-14 in the process. They lost 15-4 to the Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles. The Prexies were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Washington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Patton, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

As for Keystone Oaks, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-8. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Keystone Oaks' side, Nate Rohe made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Rohe was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, Ian Bickel was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Brady McDine was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

While Washington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
