While Aubrey Holmes delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Tri-Valley. Holmes tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits, which was good enough to also set a new career-low in walks.

Coming up, Holmes and Tri-Valley will be playing at home against Normal University at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Holmes' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Vikings' three-game streak of wins on the road.
