Gray Collegiate Academy extended their postseason success on Friday against Wilson. They skirted past the Wilson Tigers 42-39. The win was familiar territory for the War Eagles, who have now won eight contests in a row.

Gray Collegiate Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kadence Walker-Lee, who went 5-for-12 on her way to 14 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Raina Mayers, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Wilson's loss came despite strong showings from Logan Murray and Leah Spears. Murray dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds, while Spears went 6-for-15 to rack up 14 points and three steals. Murray has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played.

Gray Collegiate Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.5 points. As for Wilson, their loss dropped their record down to 19-9.

Looking ahead, Gray Collegiate Academy will take on North Augusta at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Augusta knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Gray Collegiate Academy likes a good challenge. Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
