Baseball Recap: Blake Comes Up Short

Blake managed to slip by Providence Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bears lost 9-2 to the Lions on Monday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blake's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Providence Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Blake will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Nova Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Providence Academy, they will take on New Life Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
