Softball Recap: Lake Orion Comes Up Short

If Lake Orion was riding high fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Bloomfield Hills on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dragons fell just short of the Mt. Pleasant Oilers by a score of 9-8 on Friday.

Lake Orion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Mt. Pleasant, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Lake Orion didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-3 victory against Petoskey on the 3rd. As for Mt. Pleasant, they have also already played their next game, a 4-3 loss against Elk Rapids on the 3rd.
