Volleyball Recap: Downtown Magnets Takes a Loss

Downtown Magnets lost against Animo Bunche back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Suns took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stallions.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 23-25, 25-23.

Persia-Lind Coffer paced Downtown Magnets' offense, picking up seven kills. Coffer got some help from Scarleth Orellana and her 12 assists. Orellana was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Downtown Magnets' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-6-1. As for Animo Bunche, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Downtown Magnets will challenge rival Central City Value at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Animo Bunche is set to face off against their familiar foe Aspire Ollin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
