Basketball Recap: Lamoille Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jhett Cowser and Brayden Klein

LaMoille lost against Lowpoint-Washburn back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The LaMoille Lions lost 66-42 to the Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats.

LaMoille's loss came despite strong showings from Brayden Klein and Jhett Cowser. Klein went 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points, while Cowser posted five points.

Brendin Melton had an outrageously good game for Lowpoint-Washburn as he dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Melton a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kody Knecht, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

LaMoille has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Lowpoint-Washburn, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5.

LaMoille didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-45 defeat against Amboy on the 28th. As for Lowpoint-Washburn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-55 loss against Galva on the 28th.
