Soccer Game Preview: Banneker vs. School Without Walls

Banneker is 0-8-2 against School Without Walls since October of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will head out to take on the Penguins at 4:00 p.m.

Banneker is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Coolidge, who was ranked ninth at the time (Banneker was ranked 14th). The Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Colts on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Banneker couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Awesome Umoren, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, School Without Walls made sure to put some goals up on the board against Roosevelt on Wednesday. They blew past the Roughriders 6-0. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for School Without Walls' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Banneker's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for School Without Walls, they now have a winning record of 6-5-5.
