Soccer Game Preview: Roosevelt vs. GlenOak

The Roosevelt Rough Riders will venture away from home to take on the GlenOak Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, neither Roosevelt nor Aurora could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for GlenOak, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Jackson on Tuesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering GlenOak's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Jackson are ranked 158th).

GlenOak pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four contests. With that draw, Roosevelt's record moves to 7-4-3.
