Football Recap: Oswego's Undefeated Season over After Five Games + How To Watch

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Oswego and Yorkville meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Panthers took a 16-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Foxes. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Yorkville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Beetham, who rushed for 27 yards and one TD, and also threw for 85 yards and one touchdown. The Foxes also got a significant boost from T.J. Harland, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 119 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Oswego fell to 4-1. As for Yorkville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Oswego wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 48-6 victory against Joliet West on the 3rd. As for Yorkville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-19 win against Plainfield South on the 3rd.
