Volleyball Recap: Mendon Comes Up Short on the Road Against Shenendehowa

Mendon kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Shenendehowa Plainsmen by a score of 1-0. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Plainsmen from their previous meeting back in September of 2022.

Mendon was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23.

Mendon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Chautauqua Lake on the 30th. As for Shenendehowa, they are taking a road trip to take on Guilderland at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Plainsmen's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
