Softball Game Preview: North Summit Braves vs. Duchesne Eagles

North Summit is 0-10 against Duchesne since April of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Braves will host the Eagles at 2:00 p.m. North Summit has given up an average of 18.6 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

North Summit is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Rowland Hall, falling 23-5.

TRINITY RIGBY made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. KIMEE STOLLE was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Duchesne fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Beaver on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 9-8. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one run.

Prezley Farnsworth was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamee Larsen, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Duchesne and nudges their season record down to 17-7. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for North Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
