Football Recap: Sabino Comes Up Short

Sabino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Florence Gophers, falling 44-24.

Despite the loss, Sabino still got an impressive performance from Zachari Haley, who rushed for 80 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 111 receiving yards. The Sabercats also got help from Joshua Curtis, who showed off his sure hands for 83 receiving yards.

Sabino's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Florence, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Sabino will challenge rival Thatcher at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Florence is set to square off against their familiar foe Safford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
