Baseball Recap: Anclote Sharks vs. Hudson Cobras
Anclote fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Hudson on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 15-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hudson Cobras. The Sharks haven't had much luck with the Cobras recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Anthony Ramos was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Ramos was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Anclote got a massive performance out of Sam Fanning, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Fanning a new career-high in hits (two). Nathan Langley was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
Anclote's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hudson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anclote will welcome Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Anclote has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Hudson, they will be playing at home against River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hudson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
