Softball Recap: Valley Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Valley Christian can now relate to. They lost 14-3 to the Yorba Linda Mustangs on Wednesday.

Peyton Kingery made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Martin, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 18-7-1. As for Yorba Linda, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-12.

Valley Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yorba Linda, they will take on Marina at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
