Basketball Recap: Khalil Prather's Big Game Can't Quite Lead East Paulding over Kennesaw Mountain

East Paulding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-40 back in January.

East Paulding's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khalil Prather, who posted 11 points along with five boards and three steals. That's the most steals Prather has posted since back in December of 2024. Evan Doherty was another key player, going 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points.

East Paulding's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Kennesaw Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 10-15.

East Paulding didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-54 defeat against Rome on the 6th. As for Kennesaw Mountain, they have also already played their next contest, a 61-57 loss against Villa Rica on the 8th.
