Softball Recap: Phoenix Takes a Loss

Phoenix was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets, falling 28-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 on Tuesday.

Phoenix's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Mt. Hermon, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Phoenix will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East St. John at 5:30 p.m. on April 7. As for Mt. Hermon, they will face off against Loranger at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
