Kore Wallace and Keegan Spach made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Wallace pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Wallace a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At bat, Wallace scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Spach went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ben Pickard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having also posted three or more RBI the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Evan Sears, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
