Homer had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Houston Hawks as they made off with a 52-31 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Mariners have posted against the Hawks since March 1, 2018.

Homer's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-17. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points on average over those games. As for Houston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
