Softball Recap: Patrick County Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

Patrick County took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Glenvar, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cougars won by a run and slipped past the Highlanders 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since May 20, 2024.

Jenna Woods spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks.

Patrick County's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Glenvar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
