Baseball Recap: Patton's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Patton's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the McDowell Titans 3-2. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 7-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Trevor Throneburg, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That run was his first of the season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patton will face off against Lincolnton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for McDowell, they will take on North Buncombe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Buncombe will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something McDowell surely won't give up without a fight.
