Softball Recap: Clemens Beats Judson for Their Third Straight Win

Clemens waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Judson Rockets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-2 back in March.

Alexus Worthy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Ava Arnold was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Bradie Martinez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Clemens was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Clemens' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Judson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.

As of now, neither Clemens nor the Rockets have any future games scheduled.
