The Hartsville Red Foxes will head out on the road to square off against the Buford Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hartsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 6.9 goals per game this season.

Hartsville is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering South Florence just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Bruins who were credited with the win. South Florence got it done in the shootout by posting six goals to Hartsville's five. Hartsville fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against South Florence since on Tuesday.

Amelia Flippin and Adriana Rebollar scored both of Hartsville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

On Thursday, Buford had just enough and edged out Westwood 3-2.

Buford is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Hartsville, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-2.

Hartsville suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Buford when the teams last played back in March of 2020. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Red Foxes were down 4-0.
