Baseball Recap: Clover Hill Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clover Hill can now relate to. They fell 6-1 to the Midlothian Trojans on Saturday. The Cavaliers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 11-10.

Clover Hill got a good showing from Keller Williams, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Williams has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Carson Hupp was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Clover Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Midlothian, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Clover Hill nor Midlothian have any future games scheduled.
