Volleyball Recap: Salem Christian School Takes Down Burlington Christian Academy in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Salem Christian School rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Burlington Christian Academy Royals with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Defenders as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

While Salem Christian School won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Burlington Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ali Moldt had 14 assists and two aces. Moldt has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last six times she's played.

Salem Christian School's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Burlington Christian Academy, with the defeat, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Salem Christian School will venture away from home to challenge Caldwell Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burlington Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
