Flag Football Recap: Hercules Triumphs

There's no place like home for Hercules, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They slipped by the Bethel Jaguars 7-6 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-6 back in August.

Hercules didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sophia Williams and Karma Miller. Miller is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as she's now defended two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Hercules got some further help from Javelin Mills: she picked up a sack, made seven total tackles, and defended one pass.

Hercules has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.8 points on average over those games. As for Bethel, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-5 record.

Hercules didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-6 victory against Pinole Valley on the 29th. As for Bethel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Kennedy on the 29th.
