Basketball Recap: Loachapoka Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Loachapoka can now relate to. They took a 41-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Reeltown Rebels. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 33-27 last Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Loachapoka saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sanaa Drummond posted 11 points and four steals. Drummond has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Amanda Harris, who scored eight points and five boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Loachapoka and nudges their season record down to 11-10. As for Reeltown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-9.

Loachapoka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Reeltown, they will square off against Lanett at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Lanett will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Reeltown surely won't give up without a fight.
