Soccer Recap: Middle Creek Comes Up Short

Middle Creek lost against Apex back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Middle Creek fell just short of Apex by a score of 2-1. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Mikayla Kern was handed one for Middle Creek, while Apex got theirs courtesy of Nayelli Gonzalez.

Middle Creek's goal came courtesy of Lauren Robertson, which was the first she's scored this season.

Middle Creek has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. Apex's record is now 5-2-2.

Coming up, Middle Creek will challenge Green Level at 6:30 p.m. on April 9. As for Apex, they will be playing at home against Green Hope at 6:30 p.m. on April 9. Apex is facing Green Hope at the right time seeing as Green Hope is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
