Andrew Jackson had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-3 to make it five. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Fairfield Central Griffins. Having soared to a lofty 52 points in the game before, the Volunteers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Logan Neal threw for 57 yards on six of 16 attempts. Zeke Clyburn was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards.
