Basketball Recap: Brian Mcqueen Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

Portal won the last time they faced Metter and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Portal Panthers managed a 55-50 win over the Metter Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Portal to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brian Mcqueen, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds. Mcqueen continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kj Hunter, who posted eight points in addition to 13 rebounds and three steals.

Portal's record is now 7-8. As for Metter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Portal will head out to take on Savannah at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Metter, they will take on Emanuel County Institute at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
