Word of God Academy won the last time they faced John Paul the Great Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Word of God Academy Force strolled past the John Paul the Great Academy Guardians with points to spare, taking the game 44-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Force.

Word of God Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taj Bell, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards. Zyere Cartwright was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Despite the loss, John Paul the Great Academy still got an impressive performance from Evan Sonnier, who posted seven points. Sonnier has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Danny Wyatt, who had eight points.

Word of God Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for John Paul the Great Academy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Word of God Academy will venture away from home to take on Shreveport HomeSchool Sports at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for John Paul the Great Academy, they will host Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three matchups.
