Basketball Recap: Columbus Discoverers vs. Benson Bunnies
Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 71-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Benson Bunnies. The Discoverers were down 55-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the defeat, Columbus saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jaxson Vasicek dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Quinn Freshour, who posted ten points along with seven assists and five boards.
