Football Recap: Madisonville Finds Home Field Redemption Against Center

There's no place like home for Madisonville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Center Roughriders by a score of 21-14 on Friday. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 17-14 victory the Roughriders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Madisonville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Moffett led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Center lost, don't look at Jeremy Bluford. Despite the final result, he rushed for 116 yards.

Madisonville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Center, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Madisonville and Center will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Mustangs see the field they'll take on La Grange at 7:30 p.m. on October 10. As for Center, their break will end when they face Carthage at 7:30 p.m. on October 10.
