Softball Recap: Mauldin Takes a Loss

Mauldin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-5 to the Greenville Red Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mavericks of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Mauldin's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Greenville, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mauldin will challenge Wade Hampton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greenville, they will square off against J.L. Mann at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Raiders are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
