Softball Recap: West Mesa Mustangs vs. Highland Hornets
While West Mesa put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Highland. The West Mesa Mustangs blew past the Highland Hornets 20-0. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Trinity 'Toots' Bazan made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Bazan was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

In other batting news, Mya Baca was a standout: she fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3.
