After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Melrose, Elida was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Gateway Christian Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Warriors on October 14th, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

While Elida might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Gateway Christian scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 28-26, 25-21.

Elida pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Gateway Christian, their loss ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Elida will face off against rival Dora at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Gateway Christian is set to take on their familiar foe Melrose at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
