Softball Recap: Friendship Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hinsdale Central on Wednesday, Friendship came back down to earth. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Andover Panthers on Thursday, falling 18-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-15 back in April.

Friendship dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Andover, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Friendship will venture away from home to square off against Cuba-Rushford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Andover, they will take on Hammondsport at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Lakers at the right time seeing as the Lakers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
