Baseball Recap: Fairfield Central Takes a Loss

Fairfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 4-0 to the Chester Cyclones. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cyclones this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 last Tuesday.

Fairfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Chester, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fairfield Central will face off against rival Columbia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Chester is set to take on their familiar foe Clinton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Chester 3.9, Clinton 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
