Basketball Recap: Milford Mill Academy Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Milford Mill Academy walked away with it. They came out on top against the Overlea Falcons by a score of 66-56 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Millers: when they faced off against the Falcons two weeks ago, they had to take a 61-55 loss.

When it comes to explaining why Overlea lost, don't look at Kamon Gross. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. Those 22 points gave Gross a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Austin Carter, who posted nine points and six assists.

Milford Mill Academy's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points over those games. As for Overlea, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-3.

Milford Mill Academy has already played their next contest, a 47-44 win against Franklin on the 6th. Overlea does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
