Soccer Game Preview: Manning vs. Sumter

The Manning Monarchs will head out on the road to take on the Sumter Gamecocks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Manning is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Manning came up short against West Ashley last Tuesday, falling 14-1.

The Monarchs' goal came courtesy of Edward Morales, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sumter). They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Westwood on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Sumter.

Sumter's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Manning, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Manning might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Sumter in their previous matchup back in April of 2017. Can the Monarchs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
