Basketball Game Preview: Oak Hills Highlanders vs. Seton Saints

The Oak Hills Highlanders will square off against the Seton Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Oak Hills is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Last Wednesday, Oak Hills ended up a good deal behind Harrison and lost 55-39. The Highlanders were down 44-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Seton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 42-37 to Walnut Hills. The loss continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Oak Hills will have to keep a close watch on Annie Busam and Kaitlyn Hess, a pair of players who had a big impact on Seton's prior game. Busam went 5-for-8 to rack up 14 points, while Hess posted five points and five boards. Busam continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lauren Bain, who put up three points.

Seton's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Oak Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Oak Hills beat Seton 49-39 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oak Hills since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
