Basketball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against SS Seward, falling 46-22. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 62-29 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2019.

Despite the loss, Monticello still got an impressive performance from Morgan Hutchins, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for SS Seward, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Monticello wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 36-30 loss against Liberty on the 7th. As for SS Seward, they will square off against Eldred at 5:00 p.m. on February 11th.
