Thomson has gone 7-1 against Josey recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Thomson Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Josey Eagles at 8:30 p.m. Thomson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Thomson is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Glenn Hills 80-55 on Tuesday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Spartans are ranked 474th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Markevion Jones, who posted 33 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaris Sinkfield, who earned 11 points.

Meanwhile, Josey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 80-37 loss at the hands of Burke County.

Thomson now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Josey, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Everything came up roses for Thomson against Josey in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 83-41 win. Does Thomson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Josey turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
